Raised in less than ideal circumstances, he learned to live by his wits and tongue, eventually managing to travel off world working on a tyllium haul. From there, he traveled the colonies on a variety of ships doing various work - legal and otherwise - eventually coming into the employ of a successful smuggling operation.

Pre IC History
Family & Childhood
Paris never new his mother, his father died relatively young from respiratory problems that developed as a miner. His young life was spent, alternately in the apprenticeship (or near slavery) of various employers and on the streets. He got off-world as a teenager, looking for better things.
Education
His life afforded him no formalized education, but he learned a broad variety of skills and trades from his father, some of his early employers, and from the smugglers and traders he ran with later in life. Ultimately, he's learned to be fairly self-sufficient at his trade, learning to pilot, operate and repair his own vessel, as well as handle the nitty-gritty of buying and selling the products he transports.
Business and Travels
Since he escaped his the grim setting of Canceron, Paris has traveled far and wide, visiting all of the twelve colonies on various trade ships. Eventually, with long-saved earnings and a loan from one of his employers, he was able to purchase his own small ship. Of course, later difficulties with said employer caused him a bit of trouble. He joined the fleet via the Destiny, the pleasure-ship being a somewhat frequent destination and hideout when necessary.
