Engineering Genesis.

Eli nods slowly and exhales in quiet relief as she regards Rhea silent for a few moments. "That's all I ask sir." Then she's quiet.

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Cav, Jailhouse. Boards are green, launching now."

Rhea nods back to Eli, sharing a faint crooked grin with the Marine. "Right tool for the right job, Sheriff. Hopefully, we won't need more than toolkits on this job." She and Eli are back by Rhea's desk, getting some brief jawing done about the upcoming mission. The usual beehive-like activity level in Engineering has been kicked up a notch as technicians assemble for a trip to the Destiny. Most are still getting their gear in order, as they've yet to receive any word from the Air Wing on their portion of it. An engineering officer is monitoring the wireless as pilot comm chatter comes in.

Adelaide comes wondering into engineering with her usual gliding steps she has her ear guards off and her helmet, though a engineering kit is slung over one shoulder and a side arm is in a holster. "I should really change into something else." She says her hand holding her greens. "Have I time?" She asks. "I had to get the boys and girls off into their tubes and fire em off."

Rhea looks up at Adelaide as the deckie glides in. Any salutes are acknowledged briskly, so as not to dwell on protocol when there's work to be done. The younger woman is also offered a brief nod. "We're still cooling our heels until we get word back from the pilots, Crewman Yama. You can suit up as you need." She motions to the storage closet just off the corridor leading to the drives. Some techs who weren't wearing their coveralls on duty anyhow are filing out.

Adelaide gives a grateful nods. "Thank you Major." She says going to throw her stuff on the deck. "I'll just do it here, just need to peel this orange eye sore off." She quickly does that smiling at the Sheriff when she spots the Marine. Her orange thing is folded neartly gun on top and her trousers jacket replacing it. "Ok all ready, what's going on. I've only heard snippets." She says looking from one to the other.

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Aye, sir. Copy that."

Eli is going to let Rhea talk really as s/he nods politely to Adelaide almost in 'stereo' with the other MPs before going back to just standing at the ready.

"Snippets are all we've gotten so far," Rhea replies to Adelaide, grin quirking at the orange eye sore bit. The chief engineer is serious and composed, but she's not overly grim. She just looks ready to go to work. "We received a report from the Destiny telling us they picked up some - and I quote - 'weird' electrical failure alerts they couldn't pinpoint coming from the ship's outer hull. They sent a couple of their own techs down to investigate, but then communication with those techs suddenly ceased. They're getting a bit jumpy, I think. Still, it's damned odd. This is slated as an electrical repair mission and that's what I'm expecting. However, Sergeant Browne and her Marines will be coming along with us to take care of any security concerns. She'll take the lead when it comes to tactical matters, so follow her commands if we run into any non-technical concerns. The pilots are out in the air right now trying to get a better eye on what's going on with the outside of the Destiny's hull. Still waiting on word from them."

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Cav, this is Jailhouse. You, uh, seein' what I'm seein'? Kinda looks like.. hull damage, somethin' scraped its way underneath the ship."

Adelaide belts on her holster, adjusting it around her trim waist and thigh. "I hate these things." She mutters making faces as she tries and gets it comfortable. "Sounds." She pauses her lips. "Interesting." She then nods her head. "Yeah, sent air wing off just now sounds like they've found something." She says nodding at the comm.

Eli tilts her head to the side, eyeing the wireless with a curious expression on her face, listening intently and squinting from time to time and taking out a tiny little note pad, scribbling something down.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Copy, Jail. Actual: We've got a long scraping on the underside of the Destiny. Like something drug itself underneath the ship. Does the Destiny still have steerage?"

Rhea has a holster built into her too belt for her pistol. She doesn't wear it as comfortably as the Marines but she doesn't seem too awkward with it on. "Just think of it as another tool, Crewman." Though she adds, "Hopefully they won't be necessary." She nods to that 'they've found something' part, tilting her head so she can better ear the comm traffic.

[Tac1] "Flash" Ilan says, "Wonder what they managed to run themselves into?"

Adelaide nods her head. "I know but this thing is dangerous." She sighs and goes to purch at the end of the Engineers deck arms folding listening waiting. "I can feel a space walk coming on." She mutters swinging one legs almost in a nervous jester.

[Tac1] "Wolf" Phelan says, "Could one of the raiders or that heavy raider come into contact with its hull during the last engagement?"

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Definitely looks like frakkin' claw marks. Though I don't know what has claws like that, can cut into a hull."

[Tac1] "Wolf" Phelan says, "Novella, Wolf… I've got fluid on my canopy, something is going on under here."

Eli is still listening to the radio, okies? Kthnx.

"I wouldn't mind a stroll in the black. Gets the blood running," Rhea says, as to space walking. It's hard to tell if she's joking or not. She continues to listen to the wireless chatter, a slim frown coming to her face. But it's more thoughtful than worried. She's mulling the possibilities suggested by it.

[Tac1] "Flash" Ilan says, "Something I wouldn't want to run into in a dark alley, that's for sure."

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Can you identify the liquid?"

[Tac1] "Wolf" Phelan says, "Negative, and what I think it is I don't want to say."

[Tac1] "Jammer" Jocasta says, "It's… blood."

Adelaide rolls her eyes at the comments from Flash. "Always nice to get a stroll out side sir." She says with a grin. "Don't mind doing it personally, though I know alot of people can't hack the black." She says with a wide grin.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Genesis, Cav. We've got blood on some of our windscreens. I reccomend we isolate the Destiny from the rest of the fleet until we can investigate further."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Cav, Actual. Acknowledged. Keep a screen of Viper's around the Destiny to ensure nothing launches. We'll advise her Command of the situation."

Scribble scribble scribble. "You might not need MPs after all sir." Eli finally speaks softly.

Rhea's eyes sharpen at the comm. Blood? Her expression remains composed but the seriousness in her manner goes up another notch. "As you think best. We'll follow your lead in security matters, Sheriff," she repeats simply to Eli. To Adelaide she adds, "I'm sure you can hack it, Crewman. Just concentrate on that job. That'll keep your head in order, whatever comes."

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Copy Genesis. We've go- GODS! *"

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Cav, Actual. Report."
<Newbie> Magus has disconnected.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Actual, I just had a body hit my cockpit and drift by. Looks like something ripped this snipe apart."

[Tac1] "Wolf" Phelan says, "Genesis, Wolf, we have a possible breach on the Destiny, I repeat, possible cylon breach on the destiny access point airlock A-15."

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Jail, bring your wingman down here and put your lights on the underside of the ship. You are -weapons hold- at this time."

Adelaide eyes widen a little and she goes pale under her tanned skin. "Frak." She whispers. "We can't afford to lose any more people." She says then goes quiet just listening.

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Aye, Cav. Flash, on me, I don't need to tell you to keep your eyes open."

[Tac1] "Flash" Ilan says, "No, you don't. 'He never saw it coming' doesn't make much an epitaph. I'm right with ya."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Cav, Actual: Acknowledged. - Jammer, Actual: Retrieve that body when opportunity allows."

Eli tenses up and scribbles something else down with a frown.

"Easy, Crewman," Rhea says simply to Adelaide, injecting a note of reassurance into her tone. "We'll get it sussed out, one way or another. Yama, give my snipes a hand prepping EVA kits to take along on this jaunt. With some extras for the MPs. We won't suit up in full just yet, but I want them ready in case we're walking into a breach situation."

Adelaide looks relieved to be given something to do and jumps down off the desk. "Aye sir." She says going over to where the suits are stored she takes two other crewman as she does and the trio begin the perpetrations.
The wireless receiver (#1319) starts buzzing. Use +com/answer to answer it.

[Into the Wireless] Rhea says, "Engineering. Zimmermann here."

[Tac1] "Jammer" Jocasta says, "What happened out here…? Actual, we didn't pick up anything on DRADIS?"

[Private] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Major, Colonel Altair. I want you to prep a team to depart for the Destiny to investigate an electrical fault. I'll be tasking a group of MP's to accompany your men."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Jammer, Actual: Unknown. Be advised that Genesis is dispatching a tech team with MP escort to investigate."

[Into the Wireless] Rhea says, "I received the report from the Destiny earlier, sir. Team's already prepped. Sheriff Browne and I are waiting in Engineering for the 'go' signal. I've been listening in on the comm. Sounds like the Air Wing found something pretty grim out there."

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Gen, Cav. Do you want our Raptor for transport?"

[Private] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Grim might be an understatement, Major. Have your team assemble in the hangar bay and await pickup."

[Into the Wireless] Rhea says, "Acknowledged, sir. We're headed up."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Cav, Actual: Raptor 215 is cleared back to Genesis for pickup."

[Tac1] "Jammer" Jocasta says, "Genesis, Jammer. I'm going to see what I can do to drag this poor bastard back in first."

[Private] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Good luck, Major. Altair out."

Adelaide hearing the end of the coversation, motions for the suits to be brought forwards. "We're ready when you are sir, we can finish adjusting when their on us if we need em." She says glancing between the two senior officers.

[Private] "Genesis Actual" Salin hangs up the wireless and ends the call.

Rhea gets on the wireless as it rings. When she sets it down again, she hollers to the general Engineering populace, "Alright! It's go-time. Get your gear and let's get our asses down to the hangar bay." She nods to Adelaide, giving the younger woman a "Thanks, Yama" as she heads out.

Eli now just shakes her head slowly and pinches the bridge of her nose, preparing to follow where need be.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Jail, keep a close look on the underside of the Destiny. See if anything shows itself. Wolf and I are going to keep fangs out and watch for bandits."
Adelaide gives the woman's bag a little salute as she's all but two paces behind her and Brown.

Cut scene to Destiny

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Copy, Cav. If it's still down here, we'll find it."
On the Destiny, Jane Lawton is waiting for the crew of techs and whoever else they've dragged with them. The destiny's chief engineer looks all business, her lips in a tense frown as she waits in the bay.

Rhea called ahead, mainly to determine if they needed to put the EVA helmets on for a stroll in the breach. They didn't, so she and her tech are just in their regular work suits as she disembarks the transport. "Lawton." The nod Rhea gives the other woman is respectful, even cordial, though the situation is serious that more friendliness than that isn't appropriate. "We got the initial reports, and we've heard the chatter from our pilots. Your people get anything further on what's going on down there?"

Eli is here with a few other MPs (npcs), baking up the Engineers and there as a security presence more than anything else, scanning things warily and looking from person to person studiously and standing at a ready.

Adelaide climbs out of the shuttle behind the other two with a few of the NPC's behind her, she nods at Lawton then stands to one side awaring orders like any good goon would.

"Major Zimmermann," Lawton almost smiles when she sees the sort-of-familiar engineer and her entourage. She nods to Eli, Adelaide, and the other techs. "Thank you for this, I know it's…unorthodox. Your pilots pinpointed the sector, so we've run a few more scans. The hull itself looks solid but there's something glitched in the system that we can't fix remotely. We're going to have to go down there ourselves."

Rhea nods to that. "We're geared up for it," she says simply. "No thanks necessary. We'll get it sussed out. Form up, snipes." She nods to the techs, making sure they're ready to move. "We'll follow your expertise going in, Sheriff. We'll form to sweep as you think best."

[Tac1] "Jammer" Jocasta says, "Genesis, Jammer. Heading back to the barn with cargo. Have a med team meet me on the hangar deck."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Jammer, Genesis. Acknowledged. Med team will be standing by."

Eli scratches her head before looking back to her MPs thoughtfully. "Well sir." She really doesn't understand what's going on beyond a body and an electrical glitch so she just grimaces. "One on one, is the best form up. MP per Tech…just for security sir." That's what she's issuing order amongst her own for and organizing/arranging and that's how she's made up her mind.

Adelaide nods her head slowly, as someone comes to babysit her. She rolls her eyes slightly but allowed them to do their job so she can do hers. "Ready when you are Major." She says.

Rhea gives Eli another nod. "One-on-one. Sounds like a plan. Stick with your MP, techs," she says. She sticks with Eli, for her part. Safety in Sheriffs. "Well. Let's get to work." Rhea's standard go-to-it order, there.

Lawton reaches down to pick up her pack o' tools while the MPs get ready. The guns and combat gear don't scare her. "It's just this way." She points towards the huge service elevators at the end of the dock and heads for them, punching in the right deck for the ailing airlock. The downward trip is quite a long one, having to go down far into the underbelly of the massive cruise liner, and when the big doors slide open they're faced with utter blackness. "Shit," she mutters, feeling for her flashlight. "Frakking glitch must have shorted just about everything."

Eli sticks with Rhea as the rest fall into line and she narrows her eyes as she follows along with the group as a whole, flicking on the flashlight that MPs always usually have with them, expression serious and gaze sweeping the black area with a slow shake of her head.

Adelaide follows her little minder into the lift, hmming softly…Thanks Hound she hasn't been able to get that stupid song out of her head since their little sing song session. "Wow Frak." She mutters going to dig out her flash light. "Someone could have left the lights on." She says with a humorless grin.

Rhea rides the elevator down, down, down, listening to Lawton as they go. Taking that in. She blinks at the sudden darkness, getting her own light out of her kit. "Anywhere else on the ship getting fritzy, Lawton, or is it just this airlock?"

Lawton shines her flashlight beam over the left wall, stepping ahead and leading them to the circular entry to the airlock entry. "It's just around here. Rest of her's got power just fine, from what we're seeing." The panel is still glowing, and she aims her light onto it so she can key in the entry code, which causes the heavy lock to hiss as air pressure normalizes inside. A large light turns green and the doors admit those willing to go inside. It's just as dark in there as it is out here, though they can see lights flashing along the far wall on the consoles. A soft beeping is coming from those consoles, incessant and rather irritating.

"I don't want this door to shut." That's all you here from Eli at the airlock entry, adjusting her hold on her weapon and head tilting to the side. Beep beeps make her nervous.

Adelaide nods her head slowly at Eli. "I can try and arrange that sir." She says going to motion to her bodyguard to stay with her while she attempts to wedge the door open. "I'm not too thrilled about being trapped." She comments more to herself then anyone else.

Rhea is willing to go inside. Not exactly eager, but she's putting herself there ahead of the rest of the techs, though she waits until Eli gives the go-ahead. She nods to Adelaide, keeping her own flashlight raised, shining it around slowly ahead of them. As the beam roves around, it glints off something. She comes to a stop, moving the light to make another pass at that area. She illuminates a screwdriver lying the floor. The business end is coated with red liquid. Rhea grits her teeth, likely to keep herself from swearing. "Give me some more light on this area. There's something up there." Something that bloodies tools, it seems.

Lawton glances back at those at the automatic doors, then at Rhea. Her eyes widen in the dark. "Something…up where?" She moves her light, shining it around where Rhea is.

Eli lifts a hand, doing quiet marine sign language to instruct the MP types to focus their flashlights in ways to help people see as she scans the area, keeping up with Rhea…even walking a head of her a bit as she frowns.

Adelaide does some fiddling with the door mainly jury-rigging it so it doesn't shut involing large lengths of wire. "Ok door should be good." She says going to follow the other two into the room. Having not caught sigh of anything herself yet.

Rhea follows Eli's lead, shining her flashlight ahead and over the area around the screwdriver. She frowns as well. Eyes narrowed as she scans the dim area. She does briefly turn her head over her shoulder to nod to Adelaide in a 'nicely done' sort of way. Having that route of escape open is reassuring.

As flashlight beams rove over the quiet area, Eli's suddenly illuminates…a boot. Connected to a leg, to a torso, to a chest and then a head. A young man slumped against the wall, wearing the Destiny's dark coveralls. As the light shows his chest it's all too clear where that screwdriver's been. Three punctures, two to the chest and one right to the middle of his throat, blood caking his clothing and skin. His eyes are open, and so is his mouth in a scream that was probably barely heard. There are several bloody footprints leading away from the body and towards the airlock door. After a few steps the blood's wiped off and they vanish. The room is dead silent other than the footsteps of the techs and MPs, and the consoles. Lawton draws in a sharp breath.

Eli just stares for a brief moment. "…this just became a crime scene." The Sheriff announces with a grimace and a shake of her head. "I want the captain of the destiny and the commander of the genesis to be informed of this and I want it gone over twice with an investigation kit, ginger brings, blood samples, and security tapes from the nearest cameras…" She murmurs before pausing and looking to Rhea. "Of course if you do not mind sir…this is…more than an electrical mishap."

Adelaide stops in her tracks and before she can do anything she's turning around and watering the deck. "Oh Frak." She says, going to wipe her mouth with her sleeve. "Frak it, I'm sorry." She says as the marine comes over to see if she's ok, she gives a weak smile. "I don't do blood well." She says.

Rhea slips alongside Lawton, reaching out to clasp the other woman's shoulder, if she'll allow. Half a gesture to make sure she'll stay upright, half a comforting one. She knows how she'd feel, seeing one of her techs like that. "We'll suss it out," she says softly. Clearing her throat. "Eyes sharp, people. Is there any way we can get the lights back up?" Her eyes sweep the consoles, the darkness suddenly a hundred times creepier. She nods to Eli, leaving Adelaide to her deck-watering without calling attention to it. "Of course, Sheriff."

Lawton clears her throat. Thank goodness it is quite so dark, or Rhea would see how green she went after Adelaide's noises behind them. "Yeah…consoles fritzing probably shorted out the fuses for the lights." she lifts her flashlight, searching the wall panel till she finds it. "Box is right there."

Eli just nods firmly and turns to start using her wireless, letting people work and do what they need to do, expression stony and emotionless. Icky situation calls for stoic response. "After lights are gotten back up, sir."

Adelaide finally recovers from her moment of weakness and stands up slowly. "Eh." She says going to make sure she still has everything. "What you need me to do Major?"

"Yama, get some electrical gloves on and come help me with the lights," Rhea says, gloving up herself. She'll let Adelaide take first crack at the box, though. The ChEng's heart is in mechanics, not electronics. She's not exactly stoic, but she's tightly focused on the work and more grave than anything else.

Lawton keeps back from the body. She ain't the poh-lice. She motions to the civilian tech with her to back up and away from any blood spills.

Adelaide nods her head at the boss lady and moves to grab clothes from her pack, she quickly places them on and approaches the box. "Ok Major going to take a look now." She says flipping it open and remembering to stand back as she does.

<Trait Roll> Adelaide rolls Electronics and achieves a degree of Fair (3).

A low hum suddenly thrums through the room. Overhead the lights come on with a flicker, blaring light that forces some of the techs to shield their eyes. The moment of relief is short lived though, as barely a second later an explosion of sparks bursts from the fusebox, showering poor Adelaide in the face and hands. A loud alarm begins to sound in the room, and a similar burst of sparks explodes from the edge of the jury-rigged airlock door. It doesn't move.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Genesis, Cav. Looks like the airlock has power. I show five gr- belay that. Make that four green and a red."

Eli eyes the sparking with a frown and bows her head for a moment before looking back up to make sure nobody's down or hurt and the like.

"Frak," Rhea spits under her breath, sounding more concerned than anything else. She moves to steady and catch Adelaide, so the tech won't splat in addition to getting sparked. Over her shoulder to another (NPC) tech she orders, "Raske, check that door. Make sure it's going to stay open. We are *not* getting trapped in this place."

[Tac1] "Flash" Ilan says, "We have any communication to indicate that activity in there's ours?"

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Cav, Actual: We've received a flash message from Destiny. Their Airlock bypass has been knocked out and is starting to vent. Deck's been sealed."

Adelaide gives a curse and brings her hands up to protect her face as the sparkles come flying at her, she winces softly catching a few in the face, through her hands. "I'm fine." She says going to look over her shoulder. "Just caught me off guard." She says. "I'll be fine, we got the lights on."

Raske buhs and goes sprinting for the door. She winces up at it right as Salin's voice comes over the wireless. "Door ain't goin nowhere, sir. She's busted."

Lawton swears under her breath. "Shit, the deck's already sealed up. Frak me." Over at the outer hatch to the airlock leading to space, things are hissing softly.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Dear Gods. *pause* Reccomendations, Actual? And request confirmation on positive communication with Genesis team in airlock."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Cav, Actual: Genesis Team is monitoring this frequency — Major Zimmermann, update."

[Tac1] Rhea says, "Genesis Actual, Zimmermann here. We're in one piece down for the moment but we found one of the Destiny's crewman dead. Murdered, by the look of him. The Sheriff can give you a full report later, but getting out of here is our priority right now."

[Tac1] Eli says, "Sergeant Browne here, I want a full investigation opened and this place gone over with an MP team for finger prints and other bits of evidence in the future sirs, but for now it needs to be evacuated and a medical team prepped to receive the corpse sir."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Very well, Sergeant. Major, can you see any alternative exit from your current location?""

Rhea chatters on the wireless, then looks over at Lawton. "Frak indeed. You know this ship better than I do. From the sound of things, this place is venting. We need a way out of here."

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Actual, Cav: Show two red markers on the airlock. Up from one. Major Zimmermann, what are we looking at?"

Lawton grits her teeth. "Normally the door would close!" She says in a frustrated voice, motioning to said dead door. "If the bypass is shut down they're not going to get that exit open to the upper deck…" Running a hand through her hair she looks at the hissing airlock and then back at the hallway. "Either get that door fixed or we're going to be holding our breaths and playing go fish with your birds out there."

[Tac1] Eli says, "One moment sir…"

Adelaide goes to lean against the wall, her face burning a little, she's not really worried right now though getting out would be a good thing. Then she can whine and jump about cursing teh stupid electrics box. When Lawton speaks she pushs off the wall and ambles over towards the door. "Want me to see if I can get it going again?" She asks, beginning to take a look, though she keeps as much distance as she can and still work on the airlock door.

Eli just eyes Lawton quietly for a few moments as she toys with her personal wireless and then grits her teeth and then turns to the techs with that same stony expression and then looks back to the door with an expression of like '…well?!?'

[Tac1] Rhea says, "Cav, Zimmermann. Electrical system in here is frakked, this airlock is trying to vent. We're working on getting ourselves out of here. If we can't prep us a Raptor to stand by in case we have to go out the front door."

Rhea does some more wireless chatting with the pilots, though she's already en-route to the door while she's jabbering. "Your hands okay, Yama?" she asks Adelaide. "I might need a hand with this." She kneels by the thing, tools coming out, going to work.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Zimmermann, Cav. Are you all wearing EVA suits? - Actual, we should have a SAR Raptor standing by in the Port Flight Pod, sir."

<Trait Roll> Rhea rolls Mechanics and achieves a degree of Superb (6).

Adelaide is already their and nods her head. "I'll be needing something once this is all over and my body suddenly goes, ouch that hurt." She says with a little grin. "But yeah, let me know what you need."

<Trait Roll> Adelaide rolls Electronics and achieves a degree of Mediocre (2).

Adelaide spends 1 luck points on Airlock bad!.

[Tac1] Rhea says, "Cav, we brought gear but we aren't suited up yet. We'll keep you advised. Need to stick a tool in something."
ajor. Best move it. We're seeing three red. Repeat: /Three/ red on your airlock."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "SAR Raptor is already being prepped for launch and will be airborne shortly to save time."

The poor door is in terrible shape, something in its works having burnt itself to a nasty crisp inside. The hissing coming from the airlock's outer hatch is getting louder and the temperature in the room is dropping like a rock in the ocean. Exhales have begun to turn to light fog, and within a few seconds fingers feel freezing cold on the door's metal. Suddenly the door sparks again and a light comes up on the side. Green. Go go go!

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Cav, you think we can buy 'em some time on that airlock somehow? If they get sucked out before they get suited up.."

Rhea gets to the sticking-tools-in-mechanical innards business, gloved fingers moving swiftly but deftly over the switches and gears. The ChEng knows her business. "Go!" she hollers. She lingers until her techs evac before fleeing herself, though.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "I'm open to ideas, Jail. Short of cramping them into our cockpits.."

[Tac1] "Flash" Ilan says, "Somehow, I'm having a tough time seeing the Viper as a useful tool for airlock repair."

[Tac1] Rhea says, "Zimmermann here. We got an exit rigged. Evac'ing out of airlock now."

"You leave a tech behind, I will introduce you to Betty." Eli barks out towards her MPs as she gestures for them to start evac'ing, expression grim as she moves to make sure /everybody gets out/.

Adelaide doesn't need to be told twice and as the ChEng gets to the o in go, she's through the door her escort right behind her, almost pushing her back into the awaiting Raptor. "Coming." She hollars.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Major! Down to one Green! The lock is turning!"

Lawton shouts at her poor techs, who look like deer in the headlights. "Come on, move your asses!" She even reaches out to grab one by the shoulder, shoving the poor guy out the exit. Behind them the inner lock is starting to turn now, the hissing becoming almost deafening. A few papers lying on the side of the room begin to swirl towards the slitting hatch…

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Cav, what the frak are you doin'?"

"Go! Go! Go!" Rhea shouts, booking it with all deliberate speed once the techs are out.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Got a better idea, Micah, I'm all ears! Actual: Where's that Raptor??"

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Salin says, "Cav, Actual: Raptor is already in the air."

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Cav, they've got an evac, shouldn't we get our arses out of here?"

Adelaide waits for the last person to get throught the door behind she moves forwards her fingers freezing mind you and pulls the door closed one of the marines comes to help but and with their combined strength mangers to get it closed.

The inner door hisses shut. They can barely see the outer hatch starting to open, sucking tools and the crewman's body out into space. And then, abruptly, something vibrates with force inside the airtight chamber, a strong flicker of light inside.

[Tac1] Rhea says, "Zimmermann here. Team's clear of the airlock."

Rhea takes a deep breath of good corridor air, leaning heavily against the wall. She takes a furtive look around, doing a quick head-count to make sure everyone is accounted for. Then looks over at Lawton, to see if the Destiny's techs are likewise accounted.

Adelaide steps into the corridor with Rhea and slumps against the door. "Ouuuuuuuuch!" She says going to slide down and bemoan her face. "This better not have spoiled by goodlooks." She says with a little, though right now she'll settle for some pain killers.

Lawton looks shaken as hell, as do her techs. Literally, her hands shake as she does a quick headcount. "Everyone's here, Major. My gods…what…what just happened?"

[Tac1] "Flash" Ilan says, "Everyone still in one piece after that? Looked ugly from back here…"

"I don't know," Rhea replies to Lawton. It's the most honest answer she can give. "We'll figure it out, though." She breathes deeply. Ah, sweet corridor air.

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Flash, we're all peachy here. Let's get back to the barn."

[Tac1] Rhea says, "Zimmermann here. We're all in one piece. Cav, that airlock likely vented the body of the Destiny tech we found. Any chance of retrieving it? The MPs might still be able to glean something from it, even after venting."
