FTL Drive Core

The Faster Than Light Drive Core of a Colonial ship is usually located near the engineering core of a ship, most commonly under it. Standard FTL cores are composed of a long shaft of moving machinery which generates the Hyperlight transit field. On the Battlestar Genesis, the FTL Drive core is located in an area off the Main Engineering room on Deck 8.
