Chief Medical Officers Office Genesis - Deck 13
86 ACH 23817 Souls

The office of the Chief Medical Officer is a small room, used mostly for consultations and review of sensitive patient materials than the paperwork of the Medical department, which goes through the Naval Administrative offices. Still somehow it has file cabinets along one wall stuffed full of papers, two chairs in front of a desk behind which a large leather chair is set. On the desk sits a computer terminal.
Sitting on the file cabinet is a Rod of Asclepius carved from two different types of wood. The rod is made from lighter wood, while the snake is darker. The eye of the snake is inlayed with tiny crystals so that it sparkles in the light. It stands on a smallish pedestal with a legend: Do no harm to thyself nor to others.

In his duty uniform, Ramiro steps in. He's got a few folders in his hand along with a notebook. Closing the door behind him, he looks to Jesse. "Major, I've just spoken with Lieutenant Shem. May I have a moment of your time?"

Zaharis is in his scrubs, having recently come off rounds. He's signing through a small pile of charts, but sets the pen down when Ramiro starts to talk. "Sure, Ensign. Have a seat."

Ramiro efficiently and promptly moves to sit across from Zaharis. He looks to the wireless in the room to ensure that it's not turned on and broadcasting. "I've been cleared into the knowledge of the project surrounding the boarding incident and have been asked by Lieutenant Shem to assist in the investigation." He states clearly. "I've come to request a list of personnel that had access to the classified lab, with notation specifying whether or not these personnel had knowledge of what was being contained inside."

The wireless is turned to receive-only. Zaharis nods to the request. "Do you want this in writing or just for me to speak about it?"

"Just a list of names simply in writing. I'd prefer asterisks next to the names that had prior knowledge of the inside contents." Ramiro says with a nod. "I'll document from my end that the list was received by yourself. Since this will result in interviews with non-disclosure agreements it would be best that we document this in the event that a JAG becomes involved."

"Alright." Zaharis glances at his desk, reaching over to pick up his handheld. "I'll send it off your way, then. It should be noted that there are also people in upper command who knew what was in the lab but did not have access to it. Do you need those as well?"

Ramiro pauses for a moment and then nods slowly. "Yes, please. Anyone who knew of both the contents and had access to the labs. Asterisks next to who knew, and a plus next to who had access. To differentiate." Ramiro replies. "No other information, simply that list of names. That will help me draw up the necessary number of forms."

"Thank you very much Major. I'll pick that back up in my office." There's a blink of his eyes. He's never referred to having an office before. Growing pains. He rises, he is, after all, on duty. "Unless there's anything further you'd like to discuss with me, I'll be returning there now." He says, giving Jesse the opportunity to speak if he wishes.

"I don't think so, not until you're ready to speak formally," Zaharis shakes his head. "Extend my thanks to Lt. Shem for moving on this. The incident has been a very pressing concern for me, obviously."

"We're both working on it together sir, I'll definitely tell him that you said so." Ramiro nods and turns towards the door. Spinning the handle, he looks back to Jesse. "Good afternoon, Sir." He says, pushing the door out slowly to leave.

Zaharis nods. "In that case my thanks is extended to you as well," he says, quite sincerely. "Good afternoon, Ensign."

Ramiro leaves and makes a beeline back up to deck 14, where the marine offices are. The camera trails behind him as he navigates through the hallways, returning salutes to passing enlisted who are moving against the flow of traffic. Tapping his folders a few times as he enters the officers quarters, he moves around towards his desk and sits, logging back into his computer system. The camera follows to watch over his shoulder as he brings up the message from Major Zaharis. Leaning one elbow onto his chair, he taps his temple lightly and presses the print button. The camera fades out with a screenshot of Zaharis' memo.
