Private Room Genesis - Deck 13

84 ACH 23817 Souls

This is a private room set up with oxygen and power connections, prepared to house special recovery cases. The room itself is unremarkable, meant for patients to be wheeled in, locked into place and connected to monitoring and support systems. Guards at the door are optional, depending on orders, but the equipment here is normally connected to the monitoring stations in Sickbay.

-=============================================================================-

Rue is out cold at the moment, turned on her side with her knees tucked up. Blonde hair everywhere. It's dark, mildly warm and very quiet. There is also a nightlight next to the bed which is currently turned on.

The light knock comes to the private room, even though he said he'd wait till morning. Here stands the Commander. The nurse closes the door behind him and leaves them alone. Seeing her out cold, he doesn't want to disturb and stands there with one hand going to the back of his neck as he watches her.

Fortuitous. Rue starts to stir. There's a stretch, then a wince, a hand to her abdomen, then her eyes opening and slowly focussing first straight ahead and then locking onto Regas.

Caught! Regas lifts his head and the hand lowers as he sees, her moving. Quick steps and he is by the bed, "Lie still." His words coming out rushed.

Rue mumbles, "Too weak to do more'n turn over anyway." She reaches out a hand for Regas and grips one of his. "You have your worried face on."

Regas takes the grip of her hand and even lays his other one over it. "I'll be damning myself for letting you go out on that last sortie." His hand rubs hers a little, "Not that you would have stayed behind in any case." He looks down the bed and around the room, "Are they treating you well?"

"Jesse sat with me 'til I fell asleep," Rue says and squeezes the hand she's got a grip on. "You're being selfish. Blaming yourself in any way." Shaking her head at the man, she says, "You didn't let me go out on that last sortie. I decided to go."

Regas grunts softly and watches her, "I'm sorry, Savannah." Which is all he can really say now. What can you say? It happened. "You need anything, you just let them know or call me."

"I know that… why are you sounding like you're leaving?" Rue perks an eyebrow as she watches Regas. "I could use a hug."

Regas sucks at this sort of thing. "I didn't want to dis-" when she says that he moves in and settles down easily on the side of the bed. His arms pulling her up slowly, so he doesn't hurt her too much. "You've got it," he whispers against her hair.

[Intercom] Attention! Action Stations! Set Condition One throughout the fleet.

[Intercom] Pass the word, Commander Regas to CIC.

Rue slips her arms about Regas and clings tightly. "I—" And then there's Condition One. The Gods truly hate them all.

Regas grits out a mutter and a very bad curse next to her shoulder. The kiss is quick, but it is there. "Don't move. Not even an inch." He's up then and headed out of the room, "Godsdammit." People scatter as he busts through the rest of sickbay.

You head towards Recovery Ward.

You head towards Genesis CIC.

Genesis CIC Genesis - Deck 11

84 ACH 23817 Souls

The Combat Information Center is the tactical heart of the Genesis. This CIC is designed in a triangular formation, with one point pointing directly forward, while the other two point port and starboard. The forward point of the CIC triangle is where the tactical consoles are set up. Dead center, a large, clear display panel is suspended from the ceiling, green gridlines showing a map of nearby space. Under this, a large table is set, providing more tactical displays, a wireless handset, and a large, DRADIS console.

Both port and starboard other watch stations are set, in two rows of tiers like stadium seating, one above the other. Each station has a purpose - helm, weapons control, communications, navigation, damage control, and further tactical monitoring. More displays and banks of computer monitors line the walls.

Exits: [A] Corridor

-=============================================================================-

At this particular moment, Salin is standing off to one side of the DRADIS console, leaning over the poor Lieutenant there, apparently looking at something that's being displayed on the board. Meanwhile, the crew in CIC are rapidly going about their duties.

Regas is pounding up the corridor and into CIC practically before the doors swing open to let him through, "What the Frak?! Report!" Crossing to the middle station. He has a couple blond hairs on his shoulder.

There's a turn of Salin's head, enough so that he can bring Regas' into his line of sight and he's giving a quick nod of his head, "DRADIS just picked up a Basestar. It's out of weapons range and doesn't appear to be launching raiders."

Regas swings around and looks, "Get those civilian ships out of here," even some are already reporting in they are spinning up the FTL's. He just stares at the basestar, "What the hell."

[Intercom] Zimmermann here. Engineering at stations. Drive ready to spool on your mark, damage control crews at the ready. What's the situation? Should we prepare for jump?

There's a nod to Salin and he's looking over towards the comm operator, "Order all ships in the fleet to spool up their FTL's and prepare to jump on our mark. Feed them the coordinates to the secondary jump zone." Rhea's call is heard and he's moving to pickup the wireless to answer.

[Intercom] Altair here. Bring up the FTL and prepare to jump to secondary jump site.

[Tac3] Ramiro says, "CIC, Ramiro at arms locker, sitrep?"

Regas removes the handset and starts to give orders to weapons and anyone who is on CAP.

[Tac3] "Genesis Actual" Regas says, "We're getting the frak out of here. Hold tight."

[Intercom] Zimmermann. Copy, XO. Drives spooled, Major. Engines ready to jump as you lot in CIC will them.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "CIC, Alert Five. We're in pushing into the tubes now and ready for scramble in sixty seconds."

[Tac1] "Genesis Actual" Regas says, "All CAP flights cleared for emergency landings. NOW. No flights leave the deck."

[Tac1] "Tempo" Dynames says, "CIC, Tempo preflight in progress, taxiing to the tube. *A pause* Tempo, ackowledged, standing by."

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Copy, CIC. Alert Five, stand by."

The wireless is resettled and Salin is looking over towards Regas after giving a nod towards the comm operator, "Civilian ships confirm jump ready status, Commander. Waiting for your command."

[Colonial] "Genesis Actual" Regas says, "All Civilian ships JUMP."

Regas takes in a very deep breath as the Civilian ships blink out with the Pandora. He's watching that basestar and then when the drives show they are spooled up, he's on the horn with the Hera CO. "Get the frak out of here, we're right behind you. We're not waiting to see what they want."

[Tac1] "JAGMan" Salin says, "Alert Five, CIC. When we reach secondary jump site, prepare for launch instructions."

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Copy, CIC. Alert Five, standing by."

[Tac1] "Tempo" Dynames says, "Copy, CIC."

[Tac3] Ramiro says, "CIC, Ramiro, assuming MAW in position outside of CIC, will coordinate from this location. Out."

[Intercom] The emergency CAP hits the landing bays skids down, as ships blink out of sight. The Hera soon follows and the buzz on deck is a Basestar jumped in and just sat there, out of weapons range. Nothing was launched from their decks.

[Throughout the Fleet]

The emergency CAP hits the landing bays skids down, as ships blink out of sight. The Hera soon follows and the buzz on deck is a Basestar jumped in and just sat there, out of weapons range. Nothing was launched from their decks. (The Destiny Crew would be unaware of this.)

[Tac3] "Genesis Actual" Regas says, "Copy that, Ensign."

There's a soft grunt and Salin is giving a slight shake of his head as he looks up from the DRADIS screen, over towards Regas, "Tell me that I just did not see that. A Basestar jumping in and just sitting there." He's looking over towards the Comm Operator then, giving a nod, "Once we're at the secondary site, get a count of all ships and advise them to stand ready for a second jump, if necessary."

Regas doesn't like it and it shows on his face. "Tell Engineering to get us out of here and lets see what damage we have if anywhere."

[Intercom] Engineering, CIC. Engage the FTL and get us out of here.

[Intercom] CIC, Engineering. Engaged.

The wireless receiver (#1117) starts buzzing. Use +com/answer to answer it.

[Into the Wireless] Salin says, "CIC"

The order is passed down to Engineering and Salin is tossing the handset back down, again. "FTL's engaged." His other hand lifts, coming upwards to rub lightly at the base of his skull before he begins to shake his head. It's then that the wireless rings. Again. And he's moving to answer it.

[Private] Gaelan says, "CIC, this is Major Gaelan aboard the Carina. What is going on?"

[Into the Wireless] Salin says, "Major, CIC. Basestar jumped into the system, outside of weapons range and failed to engage any vessels. We did not see any reason to sit around and find out why."

[Private] Gaelan says, "Understandable CIC. Are we secure or do I need to get an emergency shuttle back to the Genesis?"

[Into the Wireless] Salin says, "All shuttle traffic is on hold for the moment, Major. Will advise when this has been lifted."

[Private] Gaelan says, "Aye Aye, CIC. If you need to find me you now know my ship location. Ensign Ramiro should still be on deck there and can assist with any immediate needs until we get shuttle traffic moving again."

Regas rubs along his jawline, still wondering about that. "Comm, launch the CAP, make sure we are alone out here." He is at a slight grimace as he watches the XO. One of the CIC officers turns to let them know. A call comes over that everyone is here….but the Destiny.

[Into the Wireless] Salin says, "Ensign Ramiro already has matters in hand. *muffled talking, followed by FRAK*. Major, I'll get back to you. CIC Out."

[Private] Gaelan hangs up the wireless and ends the call.

[Throughout the Fleet]

Scene Set: —— All ships arrive in unison. The civilian ships. Then the Pandora. Then the Hera. Before long the Battlestar blinks into the formation. There are calls coming from CIC and to CIC as everyone reports in….everyone except one.

The Destiny is not with the fleet. There is only a long..pan of the camera across CIC as the Commander looks to the XO and the credits for tonights episode start rolling out as the scene fades…

Salin's offering a quick blink to Regas before his eyes slide over towards the Comm Operator, "Review the data and coordiantes confirmed with the Destiny. I want to know what the frak happened and why she isn't here."

[Intercom] CIC, Engineering. All systems showing green post-jump. Nothing bucked. What's the situation in the rest of the Fleet? Anyone need a repair team dispatched?

Regas mutters something about how he shouldn't have said 'how could it get worse'. "Get those back reports now. Find out where she jumped." Not that they can actually with the wrong input.

[Intercom] Engineering, CIC. Ships in the Fleet are reporting green.

Novella pages: Okay, so I gotta ask.. where do we go from here? Because we're left kinda on pause down here in the launch tubes. Or are we not on pause? Do we launch? hahaha

[Tac1] CIC to Alert birds, launch out and report back.

[Tac1] "Cav" Novella says, "Copy, CIC. Paladin Flight, form on me once you're out the door."

[Tac1] "Flask" Orion says, "CIC, Flask. Green in the pipe, five by five. Launching."

New DRADIS Contact: VIPER_212 arrives from Hangar Bay B.

[Cav_1744: Novella] Novella's Viper kicks out the tube and circles high up over the fleet. She rolls over the top, slowly turning her Viper in a loose arc.

New DRADIS Contact: Jailhouse_109 arrives from Hangar Bay B.

[Tac1] "Tempo" Dynames says, "CIC Tempo, launching!"

New DRADIS Contact: Tempo_1741 arrives from Hangar Bay B.

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "CIC, Jailhouse, boards are green. Launching."

Watching as the Vipers appears on DRADIS, Salin's setting the headset down and making his way over towards the Comm Operators station. There's a review of some of the data and the XO is looking up from the board, "Destiny reported back proper coordinates, Commander. Suggest there was a miskey on their end after or before confirmation. Probably jump locations are being compiled now. Suggest we prepare Raptors for Search and Locate."

[VIPER_212: Orion] Viper 212 shoots out the launch tube and arcs nicely, its pilot forming up on Novella's wing. Flask peers about his cockpit and mutters to himself.

[Tempo_1741: Dynames] Tempo slides in on her wingman's five o'clock high after emerging from the tubes. Dyna herself looks around and maintains formation while she's about it, glancing at her screen to see if anything pops up on DRADIS.

[Tac2] "Cav" Novella says, "Genesis, Paladin Lead. What're we looking for?"

Regas nods. "Set it up, two out. Then back, I want sitreps ASAP.

Salin's moving back over to the wireless and when he picks it up, he's issuing out orders for two Raptors to be prepared for a Search and Locate mission. Then, his eyes flickers back to the Comm Operator, "Soon as you have the data, get it forwarded to those Raptors. We need them out there, ASAP."

[Cav_1744: Novella] Novella leads the flight of four out and away from the Genesis, racing across the small band of ships. Once coming towards the other side, she sends a hand signal to Micah.

[Tac1] "JAGMan" Salin says, "Raptors 1 and 2, prepare for immediate launch authorization for a Search and Locate mission. I say again, prepare for immediate launch authorization for a Search and Locate mission."

[Jailhouse_109: Micah] Micah's viper burns out of the launch tubes and rockets into a low-six position, formed up on Cav. At the hand signal, there's a nod from his helmeted head, and he rolls hard to starboard.

[Tac1] "Jailhouse" Micah says, "Flask, on me."

[Tac2] "Genesis Actual" Regas says, "Paladin Leder, Make sure we're alone out there. We've also lost a ship. Two SAL's will be dispatched out in different directions."

[Tac1] "Flask" Orion says, "Jailhouse, copy."

[Tac2] "Cav" Novella says, "Copy, CIC. Paladin flight, out."

[VIPER_212: Orion] Flask turns the opposite direction, a hard roll portside. He swings about, taking the 'long' way, but sliding nicely onto Jailhouse's five o'clock shadow.

[Intercom] Attention! Set Condition Two throughout the fleet.

[Tac1] "Tempo" Dynames says, "Jailhouse, Flask, good hunting. Cav, Tempo, moving to your seven high."

[Cav_1744: Novella] Novella leads Dynames around the aft end of the fleet, setting up a CAP out on that end.

[Tempo_1741: Dynames] Tempo slides across to the seven spot, maintaining airspeed as she follows Cav to their CAP sector. She looks around and inverts to look where Cav can't, and still be able to see her wingman when she needs to.

[Jailhouse_109: Micah] Micah's off like a shot, taking things a little hard and fast like he's prone to; accustomed to having a quick wingman who can keep up with him. He moves out for a deep patrol of the far side of the fleet, stick steady as he watches out the windscreen.

[VIPER_212: Orion] Flask keeps up, for the most part. He's not as good as his wingman, so this requires cutting a few corners, being a little loose on formation, hitting the burners if he falls behind, but he does keep up. He peers carefully into the DRADIS, then turns to the outside, keeping watch on his surroundings.

Once possible locations come in from Comm's, Salin is giving a nod of his head and ensuring that they are passed along to the Raptor crew's, then, he's reaching for the wireless and issuing the orders before settling the device back down.
